My name is Colleen Phillips. As your content strategist and digital/online copywriter, I will use my skills (see below) to help your vision - be it a film, book, screenplay, website, YouTube Channel or game - reach a wider audience so your unique story can be shared.

I have been a fan of film, TV, and video games since I can remember. I worked for ten years in the Film and TV Industry providing assistance to studio executives at ABC Family, Touchstone TV, Warner Bros., and Disney, as well as entertainment attorneys and A-list talent agents. 

I also worked on set during that time as a production set assistant and production office assistant for movies and episodics such as Being John Malkovich, Jack Frost, and G vs. E to name a few. 

As an independent film producer, I worked diligently to secure financing, evaluate scripts, and procure talent. 

Needless to say, I have gained a plethora of knowledge and insight about the "Business of Show" both behind and in front of the camera.

However, my favorite part was - and is - bringing together talented individuals to create something truly great. 

When I became a mother, I was reminded of the crucial role that visual arts and storytelling plays in shaping every generation's perception of the world and its inhabitants, leading me to this moment in my life. 

I decided to bring together my lifetime of writing and editing skills, my BA in English and my MA in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as my in-depth training through renowned copywriting schools such as Copyblogger and AWAI, to raise awareness of your creative endeavors so they can be shared with the world.

I am a storyteller at heart and love writing on passionate topics. I am an engaged, research-driven writer who cares about accuracy and ethics. 

I love helping creative people find each other and develop meaningful relationships as they create visual storytelling that inspires and motivates.

  You’re ready to make your film, publish your story or upload your YouTube video – congratulations! You have an amazing story to tell (and maybe some merch to go with it!) and a vision of exactly how they should look!

So now you need to tell people about it. 

You need the words to effectively describe your project to attract views or a crew, clicks or distribution. 

You need to create a buzz around your baby. You need to market your merchandise, boost your brand and get traffic to your channel, website and social media.

But you’re a creator, not a professional copywriter . You know editing, direction, cinematography, lighting, and sound. You  know how to tell your story. 

But you also know that writing a script and writing to attract fans, financiers and distributors is a totally different beast. And takes a LOT of time.

This is where I come in. 

As your content strategist and digital/online copywriter I will take that on for you. I will work closely with you and use my years of hands-on experience to get your vision out there. And we'll have fun doing it! 

As a Content Strategist I will help you share your vision over multiple channels, including website, social media, email campaigns, blog articles, and merchandising to name a few!

As your digital/online copywriter I will boost your brand with the digital world through persuasive and strategic copywriting while you focus on making your vision a reality - from development to distribution and beyond!
